I am already holding you in this juicy container. As I’m writing this weeks before sending it, I can feel you. It’s pretty wild… the pulse of Womanhood.
A true initiation that you and I, and all the women before us have walked.

There is a LOT of information here, but please read it all before signing up. 

What is the Project?

A book! But it is so much more than just a book.
It is a collaboration of lived experiences from each of you, sharing the truth of what it means to be a Woman.

With the hopes that if just one other woman reads it, they will feel held by the ancestral pulse of sisterhood.

I have had the dream of writing a book for FOREVER. But none of my ideas truly stuck. Until now. Because, This. Needs. To. Be. Birthed.

The idea for this project landed when I hosted my first Pussy Gazing Workshop. All 7 of us were sitting in a circle sharing our experiences. I was witnessing the common thread we all share as women, but also how vastly unique our lived experiences are. And how there is a beautiful and unique vulva to match every story. A vulva that holds SO much and the magic that happens when she is witnessed.
Witnessed. Not shamed, or sexualized or told she is wrong for her desires. But witnessed for all that she is. All that you are.

A sister shared her story & then shared how healing it would be to be able to hear these stories.. What if teens had access to these stories? What if it was normal to share our stories, so others didn’t feel so alone? What if growing up we knew that vulvas looked so different? And that ours wasn’t ugly, gross or weird looking?
What if we used our voices to re-write history to bring HER into focus?
What if we stood in our vulnerability to remind others they aren’t alone?

A-ha. The lightbulb went off.
I knew at that moment, I would bring this idea to life.

This is why the project is being birthed.

Because women deserve to feel heard.
Safe in their bodies. Listened to. Acknowledged. Women need to know they are whole, even when they feel less than. Women need to know that healing is possible.
Women deserve to have access to the magic that lives within them.
and by sharing our stories, we are creating a ripple effect into every heart that reads them.

This project is a call to vulnerability. Deep vulnerability.
A transmutation.
I’m aware this project won’t be for everyone, or that you may not feel ready and there is deep sacredness in your NO.

I am letting the book write itself, through the words, hearts and pussies of each of you.
I trust the name will come.  

THE CREATION PROCESS:

Share your story… in words, images and the art of your body.
Your flesh, blood and bone.
Your pain, love and desires.
Your juice, pulse and drip. 

The following is required to participate:
Everyone who decides to participate will be sent a list of questions they can choose to write their story on. Pick 3-4 questions to write on. Each question response needs to be anywhere between 200-1200 words. Your final submission must be a minimum of 600 words total.

Not all responses will be chosen for the final print. Example: If you answered three prompts, only one of your responses might be picked for the final copy.

All stories will be submitted anonymously. Unless you choose to have your first name/age listed.
Examples of prompt questions:
- What were you told about your period growing up? How did this affect your relationship to your bleed? 
- What would you say to your 13 year old self? What does she need to hear? 
- How were your first sexual experiences? What did this teach you about yourself and intimacy? 

I am calling in stories about what it means to be Woman. 
Stories about sensuality,  trauma, your bleed, body image, sex, abortion, pregnancy, birth, self worth, desires and embodiment.
I want it all. The pain and the pleasure. The wetness from your tears and your orgasm. 
Nothing is off limits. 

The following photoshoot is optional  but super encouraged, because it truly is what will make this project come to life. I will need 70% of the submissions to participate in the photoshoot or the project cannot be published.

Once I lock in a photographer, we will choose a weekend in August/September to do Part 2 of this project. There will be time slots for small groups to come to my home, sit in ceremony and have their vulva photographed up-close for the book. The photoshoot will take place in Eugene, OR and everyone will have plenty of notice to take work off/accommodate travel/etc.

Only your vulva will be shown in the photo.
It will be so much more than just a close up photo though. It will be celebration, transmutation, liberation. 

The vision is for the photo of each woman's vulva to be next to their story within the book. To showcase the thread we all share as women, and how each one of us is so uniquely YOU.

If you can’t attend Eugene, but want a photo of your vulva included you can submit a Self Portrait photo that will go in the back of the book in a collage style. More info on this to come. 

More details on the photoshoot soon! But please let me know if you are a YES to this too!

To participate in the project, everyone will need to:
a) Submit their min 500 word response to Courtney by September 15th.
b) Sign the contract included in the Welcome Packet
c) Promote the preorder on their socials, with friends/family using their individual affiliate link.
d) Share on socials once the book is officially launched!
e) You must be 18+ years or older to participate!!!

and optional:
a1) Attend the photoshoot in Eugene, OR during Summer 2022
or a2) Send a self vulva portrait by September 15th
b) Go live with Courtney on IG to promote and talk about the project
c) Share this with other women who might be interested in joining the project and have them message me!

*My ultimate intention for this project is to create a balanced representation of women from all ages, backgrounds, race, economic status, etc.
because a book about a bunch of white 23 year old women lived experience alone is not what it means to be a Woman today, in our world. I encourage you to share this project with any woman who has a story to tell.

THE TIMELINE:

June/July:
- Gauging interest and receiving email sign ups from women who are a YES.
- Once I receive a YES from you by email sign up, I will be sending the “Welcome Packet” out on August 11th which will include the writing prompts and more information. This document will also have a contract that will need to be signed in order to participate.
- All writing/photo submissions must be received by September 15th, but I encourage them to be submitted sooner.

Photoshoot will be held sometime in August/September 2022. Eugene, OR

The following months:
- Preorders will go live. Date TBA
- All participants will receive their unique affiliate link.

- Release Date TBA
- Book will be available for purchase (E-book & Hard Copy)

My goal is to have the book officially released by December 2022 (hopefully sooner), but I also am still learning and figuring out all the back-end work that goes into publishing a book.
